Ingredients

3 servings
  • 1 cupwashed and drained basmati rice
  • 1/2onion chopped
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 1 pinchsalt
  • 1 spoonfulvegetable oil
  • Halfcup frozen peas

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat oil in a deep pan.

  2. 2

    Add cumin seeds. When they pop, add onion.

  3. 3

    As the onions start turning golden brown, add salt.

  4. 4

    Now add frozen peas, carrots or any other veggies you have.

  5. 5

    Add rice. Give it all a good mix.

  6. 6

    Add 2 cups of water. Cover the lid, and let it cook on sim for 10 minutes. Check it once in between, add more water if needed.

  7. 7

    Garnish with chopped coriander.
