Black beans are now recognized by the medical community as one of the most beneficial beans, helping with conditions like diabetes, heart disease, stress, and insomnia. You should drink this as a daily tea—the flavor is pleasant and aromatic.
Steps
- 1
Rinse the black beans thoroughly and let them dry. Pour the beans into a skillet and toast over medium heat, stirring constantly so they don’t burn. Burnt beans will give the drink a bitter taste.
- 2
When the beans become fragrant, remove from heat and let them cool completely. Store in an airtight container for later use. To make the tea, measure 1 cup of toasted black beans and combine with 6 1/3 cups cold water (about 1.5 liters). Bring to a boil and simmer for a few minutes until the liquid becomes rich and flavorful. Pour into a glass or bottle and refrigerate to enjoy throughout the day.
