I was craving rice but didn't have all the ingredients to make it the traditional way, so I prepared it with what little I had. It turned out very delicious, so I'm sharing the recipe.

I was craving rice but didn't have all the ingredients to make it the traditional way, so I prepared it with what little I had. It turned out very delicious, so I'm sharing the recipe.

Rinse the rice well, and cook it with 1 quart of water and the cinnamon stick for about 20 minutes, until it's about to burst. Add the milk and sugar, and let it cook for another 15 to 20 minutes, and it's ready.

Optionally, serve with a little ground cinnamon. I like it with more milk, not too dry or thick. If you prefer it with less milk, leave it on the stove longer. It doesn't ask for anything from the original recipe, and it turns out quite good. 😀👍
