Poppy Seed - Curd Cheesecake

I don't think people's lives can be spent without poppy cookies and I'm not gobbling up pies here, but fantastic cakes. The white curd layer and the dark poppy layer look superb next to each other, and crazy delicious, so don't make this cookie!

I don't think people's lives can be spent without poppy cookies and I'm not gobbling up pies here, but fantastic cakes. The white curd layer and the dark poppy layer look superb next to each other, and crazy delicious, so don't make this cookie!
Steps
- 1
Mix & blend the ingredients of the dough, forming a solid dough texture. Wrap it into a cling film and leave in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.
- 2
All the ingredients for the poppy seed layer are put in a pot, cooking for 3-4 minutes. The set aside cooling down.
- 3
For the Curd Cheese Layer, using a hand mixer, we make the curd cheese creamier texture, then stir the rest of the ingredients in.
- 4
Take the dough out of the fridge and pin roll it out to round cake spring form, getting 2-3 cm larger than the actual spring form. Place into the form, laying into the bottom & around the side.
- 5
Spoon the poppy seed filling into the dough evenly, then comes the curd cheese filling.
- 6
Just slide the cake into the 175°C preheated oven for an hour. After an hour, turn the oven off and slightly open the door letting the cake to cool down in the oven.
