#goldenapron3 #week9 - Steam #icookathome #quarantinelife Idada are one of the famous non-fried snacks from Gujarat which is a non-fermented version of white dhokla which are thinner than white dhokla and can also be made faster and instantly. In this recipe, I have made using Idli Batter before keeping the batter for fermentation.
Steps
- 1
Take idli batter in a mixing bowl. Add grated ginger, finely chopped green chilli, oil and salt. Mix well.
- 2
Add fruit salt or eno and add water on it. Bubbles will be there. Gently mix in one direction. Immediately transfer the batter to the greased thali and gently rotate it to spread the batter evenly.
- 3
Sprinkle black pepper powder and red chilli powder on top.
- 4
Keep the thali in steamer and steam for 8 to 10. Check by inserting knife or tooth pick. If it comes out clean, then it's done.
- 5
Remove thali from the steamer and allow it to cool down to room temperature. Cut into squares or rectangles and serve with green chutney.
