Ingredients

  • 300 gramsplain flour (all purpose)
  • 160 gramsCOLD unsalted butter (NOT MARGARINE)
  • 1/2 teaspoonfine salt
  • 1egg yolk (no white)
  • 10 gramsReserve flour for rolling

Steps

  1. 1

    Dice the butter into 1 cm cubes and add to the flour, salt and egg yolk in a large bowl. Using your fingers gradually work the mixture together until a playdough textured ball is formed.

  2. 2

    Wrap the ball in cling wrap and place in the fridge for minimum 30mins. Then use.
