In a large saucepan with a tight fitting lid heat the oil over medium-high heat.

Throw in a couple kernels. Once they pop the oil is ready for the kernels.

Cover and shake the pan until the popping slows down, about 2-3 minutes.

Remove from the heat and toss with the sugar and salt and transfer into a bowl and enjoy.
