We are Bengali and we can't leave without fish ( Machh ). One of my favorite is Tel Koi. This dish is prepared by my Maa and I am just a medium to share the recipe.

At first, the fish should be washed properly. Then marinate those fish with turmeric powder and salt and keep them aside.

Pour some oil in the pan and make it hot to fry those fish. After frying those fish, take out some amount of oil from pan and put ginger garlic paste.

After that put the tomato paste and masala and stir them to gravy (salt to taste).

When the oil comes up from gravy add those fish and left the dish cook in low steam.

After a while, you can serve the Tel Koi.
