Fluffy Cake with Apple, Yogurt, and Vanilla
Today we're going to make a very simple and quick cake, very fluffy, and we'll add a shiny glaze that's a delight!
Steps
- 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2
Use a round, springform pan, 9 inches wide and 3.5 inches high, with parchment paper on the base, and grease and flour the entire pan.
- 3
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- 4
In a bowl, beat the eggs until frothy.
- 5
Add the sugar and beat very well.
- 6
Add the oil and beat; then add the yogurt and continue beating.
- 7
Add the vanilla extract and beat.
- 8
Add the cornstarch and mix very well.
- 9
Gradually add the flour and baking powder, previously sifted, and mix.
- 10
From the 2 apples, use 1/2 apple, cut into small pieces.
- 11
Peel and cut into small pieces, add to the batter, and mix well. The batter should be thick and fluffy.
- 12
Peel and slice the remaining apples into not-too-thick wedges.
- 13
Pour the batter into the prepared pan, place apple wedges on top of the batter, starting by placing the wedges in a circle around the pan, continuing to make circles of apple from the outside towards the center.
- 14
Bake for 40 minutes, then let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes.
- 15
While it cools, make the glaze: in a saucepan, combine 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/2 cup water, dissolve well, add 1/4 cup sugar, and mix.
- 16
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened, about 4 minutes, then set aside.
- 17
Remove the cake from the pan.
- 18
Pour the hot glaze over the cake.
- 19
Place on a serving plate or dish, decorate with cherries.
- 20
Cut a slice.
- 21
A very fluffy cake.
- 22
With a delicious apple flavor.
- 23
The glaze gives the cake a creamy texture.
- 24
Delicious!
- 25
Ready to eat!
