Soak basmati rice for 30 mins. Heat the pressure cooker with ghee.

Add the cumin, bay leaf, kalpasi cinnamon, cloves and then add cashew and kismis and fry till golden. Then add the Onion and chill slits to it.

Add ginger-garlic paste and cook till it becomes soft and the raw smell disappears.

Now add the rice to the mixture and give it a nice stir. Add two cups of water to this.

Add salt as per the taste. Here I added a little bit too much of salt so to compensate i added a small potato to it. Close the pressure cooker and let it sit for 3 whistles in medium-high flame.

Take the potato and keep it aside. Tasty ghee rice is ready
