This recipe uses thick yogurt. If you use drinkable yogurt (milk-like consistency), it won’t turn out right. It’s super easy and you can use any flavor of yogurt!

This recipe uses thick yogurt. If you use drinkable yogurt (milk-like consistency), it won’t turn out right. It’s super easy and you can use any flavor of yogurt!

If you don’t have self-rising flour, use the same amount of all-purpose flour and add 1 teaspoon baking powder.

In a bowl, combine the yogurt, egg yolks, and sugar. Mix very well. Then add the oil and keep mixing.

Gradually add the flour, sifting it in to avoid lumps.

Once the batter is smooth, grease and flour a 9-inch (24 cm) cake pan and pour in the batter.

Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for the first 7 minutes, then lower to 350°F (180°C) and bake for another 45 minutes. Let cool, remove from the pan, and enjoy!
