Ingredients

6-7 people
  1. 2Red Onions (bawang merah)
  2. 3 clovesGarlic (bawang putih)
  3. 3chopped Lemongrass (serai)
  4. 2 inchesGinger (halia)
  5. 2 inchesGalangal (lengkuas)
  6. 3 inchesTurmeric (kunyit hidup)
  7. In the pan
  8. 3 tbspChilli Paste (cili giling)
  9. 1/2 tbspFennel Powder (jintan manis)
  10. 1/2 tbspCoriander Powder (ketumbar)
  11. 1/2 tbspCumin Powder (jintan putih)
  12. 2 tbspKerisik
  13. 1 cupCoconut Milk (santan)
  14. 1whole Chicken (ayam)
  15. 1/3Palm Sugar or 2 tbsp Sugar
  16. 1 tbspSalt
  17. 1 tspTamarind (asam jawa)
  18. LeafTurmeric (daun kunyit)
  19. LeafKaffir Lime (daun limau purut)

Cooking Instructions

    Add some water to the blender. Blend the first section of ingredients.

    Add the blended ingredients, chilli paste, the powders, kerisik, palm sugar, & tamarind

  3. 3

    Cook for a bit, then add chicken

  4. 4

    Pour in the coconut milk, mix, & let cook for a while

  5. 5

    Add the leaves

  6. 6

    Cook until the oil separates/floats to the top (pecah minyak)
