Steps

Clean and deseed the guavas and cut them into small square pieces and keep aside. You can cut them according to your preference.

Heat a wok with a tbsp of oil. Splutter cloves,cumin and mustard. Add a pinch of asafoetida. Add finely chopped onions and fry until light brown.

Grind the tomato, ginger, garlic and green chillies to a paste and it to the onions. Saute for few minutes and then add all the masala powders except garam masala.

Add the guavas and salt. Mix everything well and cook for few minutes until guavas are soft.

Now mix a tbsp of besan with curd and beat using a spoon or hand blender and add it to the gravy. Let everything cook until the oil oozes out.

Add half cup of water, Kasuri methi and cook until the gravy is thick in consistency.

Add garam masala and mix. Switch off the flame and serve hot with rice or phulkas
