Baked pumpkin

Preheat your oven at 200C

Gather all your ingredients and prepare them

Cut each pumpkin half into wedges, then place them on a parchment-lined/oiled baking sheet. Lightly brush the flesh of each of the pumpkin wedges with cooking oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper.

Roast the pumpkin for about 35 to 40 minutes, until fork-tender.

Remove the pumpkin from the oven, and cool for about 10 minutes — just until it's cool enough to handle and serve or use it for preparing some pumpkin soup.
