Ingredients

30 minutes
4 to 5 servings
  • 1 cup-Besan/gram flour
  • 1- small onion finally chopped
  • 1tsp-ginger finally chopped
  • 1-green chillies finally chopped
  • 1 pinch-asafetida
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds
  • 2pinch-Ajwain
  • 1tsp- Red chilli powder
  • 2pinch- Baking soda
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water-as required
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Mix all ingredients above except oil in mixing bowl.stir with a whisk to make a smooth and lump free batter.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in a pan.when the oil become medium hot,drop spoonful of the batter in the oil.

  3. 3

    Fry the pakoras in oil till golden and crisp.Drain the pakoras on paper towels to remove excess oil

  4. 4

    Serve the pakoras hot with coriander chutney or tomato sauce.
