Hyderabadi Aaloo Bondas

#cookameal
A spicy street food from South India in which spiced potato balls are dipped in batter and deep fried. These are very much similar to the Maharashtrian Batata Vadas. It is a lovely tea-time snack that can be served with any chutney of your choice, although these taste yummy even on their own. These can be packed when travelling too and can be enjoyed with tea. Infact these are the best when enjoyed piping hot with any Chutney of your choice and a good cup of hot beverage alongside. A lovely street food made by every hawker and roadside small Hotels and Cafes here in the City. Today i made these at Iftaar for my family as well as my immediate family and neighbours. These taste more yummy when shared and eaten. That's the power of good gesture.

Steps
- 1
Make a smooth but thick batter using all the ingredients mentioned. Use little water at a time. Cover and set aside for 20 minutes. Use your hands while making the batter for a fluffy and amazing Bondas.
- 2
Heat Oil on a low heat. In the meantime, make small balls of the Potato mix filling. Dip these balls in the batter. Coat well on all the sides and carefully slide into the hot Oil one by one. Deep fry on a low to medium high heat only until golden brown and done.
- 3
Serve them piping hot with any Chutney of your choice. I served with Mint and Yoghurt Chutney. Enjoy!
