Textured Soy Meatballs with Homemade Tomato Sauce

Soak the textured soy protein in water with a little salt for 30 minutes.

Grind the almonds with the seeds, then add the well-drained textured soy protein to a blender and blend again.

In a bowl, combine the mixture with the finely chopped onion and garlic, all the spices, flour, soy sauce, and eggs. Mix very well and refrigerate while you prepare the sauce.

In a pot, sauté the garlic, onion, and bell pepper for the sauce. When softened, add the tomatoes, spices, and a little water. Cover and simmer over low heat.

When the tomatoes have broken down and released their juices, transfer everything to a blender and blend. Return the sauce to the pot.

Take the mixture out of the refrigerator and form it into balls, then coat them lightly with flour.

Fry the meatballs in a little oil until golden brown, then add them to the pot with the sauce and heat everything together.
