Steps

Wash tomato and grate it to make puree. Peel wash and grate ginger and chop green chilli.

Wash, peel and chop kaddu.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put tomato puree, grated ginger and saute for 1 minute. Add green chilli. Now add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander seeds powder and stir. Now add chopped kaddu and mix well. Add 2 tbsp water and place the lid.

Give it 2 whistles and then switch off the flame. Let pressure releases automatically.

Now open the lid and cook for 5 minutes or till extra water of kaddu is absorbed. Add sugar and mango powder and mix well. Switch off the flame.

Serve hot with chapatti or parantha garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
