Steps

Take a clean muslin cloth & tie the cubed onion pieces, garlic pods, whole ginger, black cardamom pods, black pepper corns, coriander seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick, nutmeg and bay leaves and make a bale.

Wash the chicken & keep aside. In a cooking pot, take 3 cups water, cubed chicken and a teaspoon of salt. Turn on the flame. Add to it the tied cloth containing all the ingredients given in step one. And boil for around 20 minutes until chicken gets done and yakhni is ready.

In a pan heat ghee & fry onions and the remaining onions add cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes,salt,red chilli powder, coriander powder & stir fry for 3 minutes. Add yoghurt,garam masala and green cardamom. Cook on a medium high heat till the tomatoes get tender.And fennel seeds and add chicken pieces to the masala and washed rice and cook on high flame till it get boiled & let it simmer for another 15 minutes on low flame till rice is done. Enjoy
