Ingredients

  1. 3 cupssella rice
  2. 1 kgmutton with bones
  3. for yakhni
  4. 2medium onion
  5. 2whole garlic cloves
  6. Whole (sabut) garam masala
  7. garam masala ingredients
  8. 2 tbspsaunf
  9. 2 tbspsabut dhania
  10. 2bay leaves(tez pata)
  11. 5-6green cardamom
  12. 2black cardamom
  13. 2 tbspcumin seeds (safaid zeera)
  14. 5 cloves(loung)
  15. 2star anise(badiyaan ke phool)
  16. 2cinnamon sticks (dalcheeni)
  17. for dum
  18. 2medium sliced onion
  19. 2medium tomatoes
  20. Halftspn garam masala powder
  21. 1tspn cumin seeds (safaid zeera)
  22. 5-6green chillies

Cooking Instructions

45 minutes
  1. 1

    First of all make yakhni in a pot add half of water of your pot add meat,onion,garlic and all the whole garam masala

  2. 2

    When the water reduced half and meat become tender strain out the yakhni in a bowl and separate the meat

  3. 3

    Now take a pot add 2 medium sliced onion make it light brown add tomatoes,green chillies,garam masala powder,salt,1 tspn cumin seeds and all the mutton

  4. 4

    Cook for 5 minutes,then add 4 cups of yakhni for 3 cups of rice stir it once with light hands

  5. 5

    When 1 cup yakhni left sprinkle half tspn of garam masala powder on top and put on dum for 10 minutes in low flame

  6. 6

    After 10 minutes take it out serve hot and enjoy with kachoomar salad and raita !
