Finely chopped onions and get it ready.

Heat a pan on the stove. Once it is hot, pour a ladle of dosa batter.

Sprinkle onions generously.

Add idli podi on top as per your spice level. Add gingelly oil on the top and sides of the uttapam.

Once it is cooked on one side, flip it to the other side.

Once it is cooked on both the sides, you can serve it hot with coconut chutney.
