Ingredients

Serves 8 servings
  1. 2 cupsheavy cream (about 500 grams)
  2. 1 cupsweetened condensed milk (about 250 grams)
  3. 1 shotbourbon
  4. 1 packagechocolate wafer cookies
  5. caramel sauce
  6. 5 1/3 ouncesdark chocolate (about 150 grams)

Steps

  1. 1

    Whip the heavy cream with an electric mixer, then add the sweetened condensed milk and a shot of bourbon. Mix to combine.

  2. 2

    Line a loaf pan with plastic wrap.

  3. 3

    Pour a layer of the cream mixture into the pan and smooth it out. Add a layer of wafer cookies on top.

  4. 4

    Add another layer of cream, then another layer of wafer cookies, and finish with a final layer of cream.

  5. 5

    Smooth the top, fold the plastic wrap over the cream, and freeze for at least several hours or overnight.

  6. 6

    Once frozen, remove the dessert from the pan and place it on a serving plate. The plastic wrap should make it easy to remove. Return it to the freezer.

  7. 7

    Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.

  8. 8

    Take the dessert out, pour a layer of caramel sauce on top, then cover with the melted dark chocolate.

    Let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before serving.
