Ingredients

  • 200 gmsGram flour
  • 50 gmsSemolina(Rava)
  • 50 gmsRice flour
  • 2 tbspSoaked yellow moong dal
  • 200 gmsBottle gourd
  • 1carrot grated
  • 3Onion(Sliced)
  • 3Green chilis finely chopped)
  • 2 tbspGrated beetroot
  • 2 tbspMint leaves finely chopped
  • 2 tbspcoriander finely chopped
  • 1 tbspRed chili garlic paste
  • 1 tbspgreen chili ginger paste
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspFennel seeds
  • 1 tspcarom seeds
  • 1 tsphalf crushed coriander seeds
  • 1 tspblack pepper powder
  • 1/4 tspAsafoetida
  • 1 cupcurd
  • As needed Oil to fry pakora
  • to tastesalt

    Prepare all ingredients. Combine gram flour, semolina, rice flour, soaked moong dal, carom seeds, fennel seeds, half crushed coriander seeds, black pepper powder, salt to taste, turmeric, red chili garlic paste, green chili ginger paste and asafetida in a big bowl. Mix it well.

    Add grated bottle gourd, carrot, beetroot, sliced onion, finely chopped green chilis, mint leaves, coriander leaves and 2 tbsp. curd to bowl and mix it properly.

    Heat oil in frying vessel on medium flame for deep frying pakoras. Take 2 tbsp. hot oil and mix it in pakora batter(Hot oil helps to make pakora crispy). Scoop out ball sized pakora and drop in hot oil carefully. Fry pakoras until it turns golden in color.

    Serve hot and crispy pakoras with homemade tomato Sauce, sliced onion and punjabi curd.
