In India, it is very popular and considered a medicinal drink because turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory.
It's important to include the spices mentioned to activate the turmeric.

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Add the spices, coconut oil, and water to a saucepan and heat over low to medium heat without boiling. Stir continuously and remove when the water has evaporated.
- 2
Store the paste in an airtight container.
- 3
To make the golden milk, heat the milk or plant-based milk until it's about to boil, then turn off the heat and add a teaspoon of the paste. Whisk to blend well and create a frothy texture. You can sprinkle a touch of cinnamon on top for extra flavor. If you want to sweeten it, you can add a teaspoon of honey... but if you use coconut plant-based milk, for example, you might not need to sweeten it.

Turmeric Paste for tea/gold milk Turmeric Paste for tea/gold milk
This made ahead turmeric paste stimulates me to get more turmeric into my body because I don't think it's possible for me to make curry every day. Coconut paste is made simply by blending young coconut meat into a paste. Fresh young coconut doesn't contain as much fat as matured ones yet the fiber rich meat tends to be more sweeter and creamy. My stomach unfortunately cannot tolerate any store bought coconut products that is come from a jar, but you can definitely use 1/2 cup of coconut milk, nut milk or cow’s milk if you can tolerate. Turmeric Rice for Curry Turmeric Rice for Curry
I made this using the same method used for rice cooker pilaf. If you want to make the rice bright yellow, add a bit more turmeric. If you are using new harvest rice, use a bit less water. If you aren't using soup stock granules, add 1 teaspoon of salt instead. If you're in a hurry you don't have to drain the rice in a sieve. Recipe by Yuuyuu0221 cookpad.japan -
