Phool makhana, fox nut, lotus seeds, Taal makhana.... It is the key ingredient for many dishes prepared in my kitchen such as add in desserts, snacks, paste in veggies for gravy richness. Many uses of these seeds. It itself has a very neutral taste and can takes on flavours that are added to it.
It also finds significance in religious ceremonies in our houses and it is a popular fasting dish prepared during Navratri and other occasions.

Cookies -: A unique and rich recipe of cookies having a signature ingredients. My innovative dish in which my successful tryst with these ingredients. A fox nut which is the key ingredient where benefits are well explained here...-:

1. Low even zero in cholesterol, fat and sodium.
2. Ideal snack to satiate in or between meal hunger pangs.
3. Makhanas are recommended for diabetics due to their low glycemic index.
4. Protect the heart 💓 (due to rich in potassium, magnesium, folate ), helps to control BP (blood pressure) and sustain Cardiac health.
5. An anti-aging enzyme in these seeds is said to help repair damaged proteins.
6. Ayurvedic even Unani beliefs to suggest these nuts as astringent properties that benefit the kidney and it have aphrodisiac properties too.
7. Gluten free, rich in protein, high in carbohydrates. Not only 3-in 1 but having all rounder properties.
8. Low in calories, high fibres as ideal snack for weight loss.
