Simple Chocolate Pies Using Ready Made Pie Crusts

I love Lotte Brand Choco Pie snacks and used to buy them all the time, but suddenly I started thinking that I could probably make them easily at home and reproduced them.

I think they're probably cute if you shape them with a mold, but this time I just made simple squares.

Right after baking they swell a lot, but after about 5 minutes, they shrink back down and look good(

  3. 3

If you use a pizza cutter to cut the pie crusts, it's easy and they turn out really nice.

  4. 4

Cut the pie crusts to be just slightly larger than the chocolate piece. Cut another one to the same size and place on top. Coat the edges with water and connect top and bottom securely.

Close it up with a fork around all edges. I believe it's best to use a smaller fork.

Mix together the egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of water, use a paintbrush to spread onto the pies, and bake for 15 minutes at 180°C. Lower the heat to 160°C and bake for 10 minutes. And then they're done.
