  • 1 packBrussel sprouts
  • Water
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 2 tspsalt
  • 1tspPepper
  • Parmesan
  • Paprika(optional)

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to gas mark 6.

    A picture of step 1 of Smashed brussel sprouts.
  2. 2

    Cut the ends of the Brussels and take any of the outer leaves off.

  3. 3

    In a pan add some hot water, enough to cover the Brussels.let the Brussels cook for 4 to 5 minutes until slightly soft.

  4. 4

    Drain the brussels.on a hard surface put the Brussels on and use a jar or anything like it such as a mug.

  5. 5

    Gently push down on the brussels to make the smashed effect.repeat until all are smashed then place on a tray.

  6. 6

    Cover the brussels with the oil until all covered.sprinkle of the salt,pepper and the parmesan.

  7. 7

    Put in the oven for 10-15 minutes until charred to your liking.
