I wanted to make easy scones for breakfast or snacks, so I made these with pancake mix.

Chocolate or jam instead of cream cheese is also delicious.
It's easy to make the dough if you melt the margarine first. When you stretch out the dough, line the board with plastic wrap instead of dusting with flour. This makes it easier to clean up afterwards. Recipe by Youkorin

Ingredients

  1. 200 gramsPancake mix
  2. 50 gramsMargarine for baking
  3. 50 mlMilk
  4. 2 tbspHoney
  5. 1Cream cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Microwave and melt the margarine.

  2. 2

Add the milk and honey to Step 1 and mix well.

  3. 3

Lightly mix in the pancake mix and divide the mixture into two portions.

  4. 4

Stretch the dough out into a thin circle and divide into 8 pieces.

  5. 5

Put cream cheese on half of the pieces.

  6. 6

Sandwich the cream cheese with the other pieces. Repeat steps 4-6.

  7. 7

Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake in a preheated 180℃ oven for 15-20 minutes.

  8. 8

When they become puffy and golden, they're done! They are crispy when chilled, and soft and fluffy when warmed! Perfect for breakfast!

  9. 9

This time I used "kiri" cheese. Each piece is individually wrapped, so it's easy to use.
