Country Fried Okra

I love this combo of fried okra, potatoes, and onions. It just feels like home to me. I do recommend cutting potatoes into smaller chunks than shown here, for more even cooking.

I love this combo of fried okra, potatoes, and onions. It just feels like home to me. I do recommend cutting potatoes into smaller chunks than shown here, for more even cooking.
Steps

Chop okra or if using frozen, rinse and allow to thaw. Remove any caps, if using frozen.

Peel potatoes and onions and Chop
- 3
Mix okra, potatoes, and onion in a bowl.

Add flour, corn meal, salt, and pepper. Mix til coated well.
- 5
Heat oil on medium high in a skillet. Cook until well browned (about 20 min).

Lower heat, top with butter (optional). Cover until butter is melted. Enjoy!
