Ingredients

  1. 4Plantains
  2. As requiredTamarind lemon size
  3. 1 tspTurmeric powder
  4. as per tasteSalt
  5. 1 tspHing
  6. fewCurry leaves a few
  7. 2 tbspSesame oil
  8. 1 tspMustard seeds
  9. 1 tspUrad dal
  10. For roast and grind
  11. 1.5 tbspUrad dal
  12. 1 tbspChana dal
  13. 2Red chilli
  14. 1 tspPepper corns
  15. 1 tspCumin seeds
  16. 1Onion big
  17. fewCurry leaves

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash,remove the skin of plantains and cut it into small pieces.

  2. 2

    In a pan add oil saute the ingredients until golden brown and grind it into a fine paste

  3. 3

    Pressure cook plantain for 2 whistles

  4. 4

    In a pan add oil when it is hot add Mustard seeds when it splutter add urad dal, hing and curry leaves

  5. 5

    Add the grinded paste, turmeric powder, and salt

  6. 6

    Saute for a few minutes and then add the plantains

  7. 7

    Cover it with a lid and cook fir 5 minutes

  8. 8

    Switch off the flame and goes well with hot rice, rotis
