Ingredients

4 servings
  • Packetfresh lasagna sheets
  • 250 ggood quality pork and beef sausages
  • 250 mlpassata sauce
    Passata di pomodoro
  • 400 mlbechamel
    Besciamella - bechamel sauce
  • 30 gsoffritto, carrots, onions and celery
    Soffritto for stock based dishes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • as neededGrated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil

    Heat some oil in a pan and cook soffritto for a few minutes. Skin the sausage and then add to the pan. Brown for about 5 mins then add most of the passata sauce, saving a little for later. Simmer for about 30 mins. Season to taste

    Preheat oven to 180. Lay out your lasagna sheet on a plate. Add a spoonful of sauce on top and a sprinkle of Parmesan. Roll up and add to a baking tray lined with baking paper. Continue until all ingredients are finished. Add remaining passata sauce on top and spread evenly

    Now add beschmel and spread evenly. Sprinkle with more Parmesan cheese and pop in the oven for about 20 mins

    Leave to rest for 10 mins before serving

Tips

Soffritto for stock based dishes

Buy carrots, onions and celery in large quantities. Wash, slice and chop, then pop in a freezer bag ready to go
