Simple Tender Boiled Chicken (Breast Meat)

This is a recipe I learned from my friend and I modified it by adding sake and salt. After adding the sake and salt, the meat was finely textured and tender, so I wrote it down. This is a useful dish that can be used in various ways.

-All you have to do is put the chicken in the boiling water and turn off the heat. After putting the lid on, you don't even need to have it on low heat. Please adjust the sitting time based on the size of the pieces of chicken.
-Don't throw out the broth. You can use it to make delicious soup, etc. Recipe by Sabao

Steps

  1. 1

Boil enough water to cover the chicken in a sauce pan. Once the water is boiling, add the sake and salt, then stir.

  2. 2

Add the chicken to the pot from Step 1. When the broth starts bubbling gently, put the lid on and turn off the heat. Let it sit for 50 minutes and it's done. (For chicken tenders, let them sit for about 20 minutes)

  3. 3

Use whatever sauce you like. This time, I ate it with black pepper and yuzu ponzu sauce.

  4. 4

[Variation using the broth] Using the chicken broth, I made a spinach potage soup.

[Variation using the broth] This is a mild and irresistible egg soup made with tomatoes and vegetables. The refreshing sourness of the tomatoes and crunchy texture of the vegetables is so nice.
