Gather all the ingredients.

Prepare hara masala by grinding all the ingredients mentioned in hara masala section.

Add hara masala and salt in yoghurt.mix and keep aside

Soak daal overnight.blend daal with onion in grinder or on sil.

Now Add baking soda, red chilli powder and salt to taste in daal.mix well and keep aside for 10 mins.

Make them in round shape and shallow fry on medium flame.

Soak them in water and strain until all water is drained.

Now set them in a dish and pour yoghurt over it.

Sprinkle hara masala and green chilli

Prepare tarka: in a heating pan add oil, red button chillies, garlic and cumin.

Pour this over dahi baray and they are ready to be served.
