Steps

Cut & Clean chicken. Keep aside.

Add oil in pan. Add in dry spices, followed by onion, green chilli and tomato. Stir well. Cook until onion turn glassy.

Add garlic & ginger paste. Stir well. Once the oil breaks add in chicken pieces. Stir well. Cook for 10 minutes (stir occasionally)

Add water to ease the cooking process. When the chicken is 3/4 cooked, add salt, turmeric powder,black pepper powder amd red chilli. Stir well.

Let it cook under medium flame for 10 to 15 more minutes. Or until the gravy thickens and the oil separates form the gravy.
