This creamy gnocchi is the perfect comfort food you need today. Just give it a try and it won't disappoint you.

Place a medium pot over medium heat and add olive oil and mince. Cook until is drowned all over, stir with a wooden spoon, breaking up the mince.

Then add onions, carrots, red pepper and fry until they soften.

Pour in wine and reduce the heat. Then, add paprika, garlic powder, ground cloves, cinnamon, sugar and the chicken stock cube. Season well with salt and pepper.

Finally, add the tomato paste, stir very well with a wooden spoon and chuck in chopped tomatoes and add water.

Bring to boil, simmer and cook for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally until you have a rich, thick sauce.

When ready, remove from heat and add double cream. Stir well.

Cook gnocchi following the pack instructions, usually 2-3 minutes. Don't add any salt!

When finished, stir into the sauce (you might need a little bit more boiled water), mix well and serve with parmesan and a pinch of parsley.
