Easy & Chewy Oil-free Steamed Bread

I knew how to make oil-free steamed bread, so I made a chewy version.

You could use juice or coconut milk instead of milk.

To get the marbled effect, when the dough is done, fill all the muffin cups halfway. Mix in a tablespoon of cocoa powder (or instant coffee or matcha) to the remaining batter and pour into the half-filled muffin cups. Drag a toothpick through the batter to swirl the two batters.

If it's a bother, you can just make two different types of batter without the marbleized effect. Recipe by nathu

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 100 grams○Cake flour
  2. 3 grams○Baking powder
  3. 25 grams○Sugar
  4. 100 gramsMilk (or water)
  5. 1Cocoa powder

Steps

    Take the ingredients marked with a ○ and using circular motions, mix together with a whisk. Add the milk and mix again.

  2. 2

    Fill the muffin cups and steam on high heat for 10 minutes. When you pierce them with a bamboo skewer and it comes out clean, they are done.

    I added 100 g of diced sweet potatoes into the batter that were cooked in the microwave.
