Healthy Tofu Ochazuke for a Diet or a Late Night Snack

I wanted to eat ochazuke, but rice has a lot of calories, so I wondered how it would taste with tofu instead. The light taste of the tofu really works! Since then I've been eating it as a diet food.

140 g of cooked rice has 235 kcal, but 150 g of silken tofu has only 84 kcal!
I especially recommend this for people who are currently on a diet.
You could also sub the silken tofu for okara! Recipe by misiro

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 150 gramsSilken tofu
  2. 1Ochazuke mix
  3. 1Hot water (or green tea)
  4. 1◎ Umeboshi, mitsuba, green onion, wasabi etc.

Steps

    Remove the tofu from the pack and place in a rice bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes.

  2. 2

    Once the tofu is warm, sprinkle the ochazuke mix. Pour over some hot water or green tea.

  3. 3

    Break the tofu roughly into small pieces with a spoon and eat. You can add whatever toppings you prefer!

  4. 4

    The 3 x 150 g blocks of silken tofu are cheap, so I make this often. If using a normal block of tofu, just use whatever amount you want!
