Makhana Sweet

Makhana as we all know that seeds of Lotus flowers. During navratri fast, it is included. The lotus seeds are full of vital nutrients and give lots of health benefits.
I have made makhana with deshi ghee and jaggery that turned out to be very special and delicious.

Makhana as we all know that seeds of Lotus flowers. During navratri fast, it is included. The lotus seeds are full of vital nutrients and give lots of health benefits.
I have made makhana with deshi ghee and jaggery that turned out to be very special and delicious.
Steps

Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan. Roast the makhana in low heat till they are crunchy and change colour. Set them aside.

To the same pan add 1 tsp ghee and heat lightly. Add gur/jaggery and allow to melt.
- 3
Flame should be low.
- 4
Add the roasted makhana and ensure that melted jaggery is coated on each makhana seed.
- 5
These makhane can be stored for further use.
- 6
The beautiful crunchy sweet makhane ready to serve.
