I love Macrobiotic Recipes. I am using a Silit Sicomatic t-plus 3.0 pressure cooker.

Adjust the pressurizing time and amount of water according to the pressure cooker manufacture. You can also cook it with a rice cooker. If you are using a pressure cooker, no soaking is necessary. Recipe by Ro-zuminto

Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 400 mlBrown rice
  2. 510 mlWater
  3. 50 gramsGinger (julienne)
  4. 1 pinchSalt
  5. 1 tbspSoy sauce
  6. 1 tbspWhite sesame seeds
  7. 1Green onion
  8. 1Myoga ginger

Steps

  1. 1

    Rinse the brown rice to remove any dirt from the surface.

  2. 2

    Julienne the ginger.

    Place washed brown rice, water and ginger in a pressure cooker.

  4. 4

    Add soy sauce and salt.

    Turn on the heat. Once the pressure cooker has pressurized, cook under pressure for 20 minutes. Cooking time: 20 minutes.

  6. 6

    Turn off the heat, lower the pressure (leave until the pressure drops) and open the lid.

    Add the white sesame seeds and let sit and steam for 5 minutes.

    Top it with green onion and myoga ginger if desired.
