My children are allergic to eggs and wheat. I came up with this as I wanted to make some cute and delicious party food without using eggs and wheat, so that I could serve it at Christmas parties etc.

Boil the aburaage for a few minutes in boiling water and drain. When the aburaage has cooled, squeeze and drain the water and smooth out with your fingers to flatten.

Cut the abura-age into 6 cm round shapes, peel into 2 layers. If you can't do that, leave it as it is.

Place on the edge of a large heatproof plate and sprinkle with salt. (Refer to. Microwave for 5-6 minutes uncovered.
