Walnut Falafels
Falafel is a family favorite and I always add nuts to make them more healthy
Here I have added roasted crushed Walnuts in the batter and the nutty Flavour adds more flavour to the Falafel .

Here I have added roasted crushed Walnuts in the batter and the nutty Flavour adds more flavour to the Falafel .
Steps

Soak the chickpeas overnight with baking soda. let them soak for 12 to 14 hrs for best results.

The next day adds the spices, the garlic, the fresh herbs, and grind into a smooth paste.
Do not add any water.
And do not add baking powder, Walnuts, and sesame seeds as yet. - 3
Refrigerate the mixture for 2 hrs.

Just before frying add the baking powder, crushed Walnuts, and sesame seeds and mix well.
Now using your hands from small patties.
I have applied more sesame seeds on both sides as well. - 5
Heat oil and fry the Falafels in medium flame till they turn golden brown in color.
Here I have deep fried the Falafels. - 6
Remove on absorbent paper.

Serve hot with some pickled beets and garlic sauce and tahina.

Adding Walnuts to Mediterranean dosh enhances their flavour. Do try it out.
