Steps

Mix Butter and Sugar with an electric mixer or a hand beater until light and foamy consistency.

Add eggs, one by one, into the butter mix until thoroughly mixed.

Add Vanilla essence to the mixture.

Sift flour, baking powder, and cardamom powder.

Add the sifted flour to the butter mix in portions of 3.

Now add Khoa to the combined mix and beat lightly till everything is mixed well.

For ovens: Preheat oven for 10 minutes at 180°C
For stoves: Preheat a heavy-bottom vessel in low-medium flame for 10 minutes

Grease an 8-inch baking tray and add a layer of butter paper to the tray, to avoid sticking to the sides of the pan.

Pour the batter into the tray and tap it gently to spread the mixture evenly and avoid too many air bubbles packing in. Sprinkle the almond flakes on top.

Bake for 40-45 minutes. (Check with a skewer for any residue sticking to it, if it's clean, it's done! Or let it bake for a few more minutes)

Let it cool down and Mawa Cake is now ready to be enjoyed with family or friends!
