I made this using whatever I had at home.
Steps
- 1
Prepare scallion oil, boil the quail eggs, and slice the hot dogs.
- 2
Melt the butter in a pan, then pour it into a bowl to use for the sauce. For the sauce: mix 2-3 tablespoons chili sauce, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 tablespoon ketchup, 2 tablespoons chili salt, and the melted butter.
- 3
Use a tall glass (or a cutting board, rolling pin, etc.) to flatten the baguettes. Press firmly! After flattening, place the bread in a pan and cook until the surface is crispy when tapped with chopsticks.
- 4
Brush the sauce over the bread, then top with scallion oil, sliced hot dogs, and quail eggs.
- 5
Now you have homemade grilled chili salt bánh mì without needing to go out. It's more affordable and uses ingredients you already have at home. Stay healthy and safe!
