Ingredients

  • to taste
  • 1 pinchIchimi red chili pepper powder
  • 1 pinchSesame seeds
  • 1 1/2stalks Burdock root
  • 1Carrot
  • 2 tbspSugar (or beet sugar)
  • 1 1/2 tbspSoy sauce
  • 1/2 tbspMirin
  • 1Sesame oil, Vegetable oil (as needed)

Steps

    Julienne the burdock roots and carrots.

  2. 2

    Heat sesame or vegetable oil in a frying pan, and stir-fry the burdock and carrot. Coat the vegetables well in the oil.

    Next, season with sugar and continue stir-frying. It's necessary to sweeten the stir-fry. Continue until the vegetables have heated through.

    Afterward, season with soy sauce and mirin, and stir-fry until the liquid has evaporated. Done.
