Delicious Chocoflan (Impossible Cake)

In the pan you’ll use for the chocoflan, make the caramel by heating the sugar until it melts and turns golden brown.

For the flan, blend the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and cornstarch in a blender until smooth.

Melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave in 10-second intervals.

For the cake, separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add the sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.

Once stiff peaks form, add the yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then gently fold in the melted chocolate with a wooden spatula.

Sift together the flour, baking soda, sugar, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the batter. Pour the cake batter into the pan, then carefully pour the flan mixture on top.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake in a water bath at 300°F (150°C) for about 45 minutes.

Once done, let it cool overnight before unmolding.
