Ingredients

2 servings
  1. 1 cupbasmati rice
  2. 2- 1/2 cupsWater for boiling purpose
  3. 2 cupswater for soaking purpose
  4. 2 tbspoil
  5. 1 tbspcumin seeds
  6. 4-5cloves
  7. As required Small stick cinnamon
  8. 2bayleaf
  9. 1diced onion
  10. 1grated/diced carrot
  11. 1/2 cuptomato paste
  12. 1 tbspsalt
  13. 1 tspArabic masala
  14. 1/2 tspblack pepper powder
  15. 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  16. 7-8black raisins
  17. As requiredGreen coriander for garnishing

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly, wash and soak basmati rice for about 1 hour.

  2. 2

    Heat oil on the pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves stir well for 2 minutes. Now add diced onion saute till it turns golden brown.

  3. 3

    Next, add diced carrot combine well for 2-3 minutes. afterward, add raisins and tomato paste cover the lid, and stir well occasionally for 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Furthermore, add salt, black pepper powder, and Arabic masala stir well for 2minutes. Now add soaked basmati rice and 3 cups water. Cook it till rice absorbs water.

  5. 5

    Lastly, garnish it with green coriander leaves and raisins.
