I was trying to think of a new twist for my basic banana bread recipe and Elvis' love of peanut butter and banana popped into my head.

It's beyond what I expected and the perfect balance of banana to peanut butter!

Ingredients

1 Hour
16 Slices
  1. 1/2 CupSoftened Butter (1 stick)
  2. 1 CupSugar
  3. 2Eggs
  4. 4Bananas (Mashed)
  5. 12 ozbag (2 Cups) Peanut Butter Chips
  6. 3/4 CupPeanut Butter (smooth)
  7. Dry Ingredients
  8. 1-3/4 CupFlour
  9. 1 TspBaking Soda
  10. 1/2 TspBaking Powder
  11. 1/2 TspSalt
  12. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Cooking Instructions

    In large Bowl:
    Cream Butter and Sugar with mixer.

    Add eggs one at a time and mix until smooth.

    Add Bananas and mix again.

  4. 4

    In separate Bowl:
    Mix Flour, Baking Soda, Baking Powder, and Salt.

    Add Flour Mixture to the Wet Ingredients and STIR GENTLY until moist. Do not over mix!

    Gently stir in Peanut Butter Chips.

  7. 7

    Microwave 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter for up to 1 minute to make it "pourable".

    Pour 1/2 of the bread mixture into an ungreased loaf pan.

    Drizzle most of the melted peanut butter over the layer and gently swirl in with a toothpick or skewer.

    Pour/spread remaining bread mixture on top.

    Drizzle remaining melted peanut butter over the top.

  12. 12

    Bake at 375 for about 50-60 minutes.

    Check after 45 minutes, then every 5 minutes until done.

    Don't overbake!
