Extravagant Double Apple Cake

Since even apples that aren't sweet can
taste amazing in cakes, I wanted to come up with a recipe that highlights the natural flavor of apples.

Bring the apple and egg to room temperature before use.
Adjust the sugar anywhere from 60 - 80 g depending on the sweetness of the apples. Recipe by Puru berry

  2. 2

Soften the butter in the microwave until it has a mayonnaise-like consistency (if straight out of the refrigerator, microwave at 300 W for 40 - 45 seconds).

  3. 3

Add the sugar and mix well. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356 Fahrenheit).

  4. 4

Beat the egg and gradually add it to the bowl while stirring the rest of the ingredients. If the egg is cold, it will separate from the butter, so make sure to bring it to room temperature first.

  5. 5

Grate half of the apple and cut the other half into 5 mm pieces. You could also cut it into 1 cm cubes.

  7. 7

Combine the flour and baking powder and sift. Use a rubber spatula to gently mix into the batter.

  8. 8

    Add the chunks of apple.

  9. 9

Pour the batter into the cake mold, smooth the surface, and bake for 45 minutes at 180°C.

  10. 10

Once an inserted skewer comes out cleanly, remove the cake by the parchment paper and cool on a cooling rack.

  11. 11

When it has cooled, tightly wrap it in plastic wrap and let it sit for one day. It tastes better the next day so try to restrain yourself. Wait at least half a day.

  12. 12

If you can't wait a day, you can enjoy it hot and fresh from the oven. It will taste just like apple pie.
