French Onion Soup
A very comforting soup for cold winter days.
Steps
- 1
Chop the onions. Sauté them in butter until lightly browned. Pour in the white wine and let it evaporate. Sprinkle with flour and stir regularly.
- 2
Pour boiling water over the onions. Stir. Simmer for 15 minutes uncovered. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- 3
Meanwhile, prepare the toasts. Slice the baguette—two slices per person. Lightly brush the slices with olive oil. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake for 5 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
- 4
When the soup is ready, garnish with dried wild garlic and a little extra cheese if desired. Check the seasoning. Serve with the toasts and enjoy!
