Cooking Instructions

Wash the chicken thoroughly with water. Heat oil in a pan, crush the cardamom, and add it along with the bay leaves. Add the chicken and sauté on medium heat until the chicken changes color.

Once the chicken changes color, add the whisked yogurt, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, chickpea flour, coriander powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, and potatoes. Mix well and cook on low heat for about 2-3 minutes.

Add salt and 1 cup of water, mix well, cover, and cook on medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Finely crush the nutmeg, mace, and cardamom.

After 10 minutes, remove the lid, mix the chicken, add the fried onions and crushed spice powder, mix again, cover, and cook for another 8-10 minutes.

After 7-8 minutes, add kewra water to the chicken, mix, cook for 2 more minutes, and then turn off the heat.

Transfer to a serving bowl and serve hot. Serve the hot chicken korma with roti, naan, paratha, or rice.
